Beckie Fleming

Message from Joe Fleming:

Thank you to Andy, Siobhan & everyone (past & present) at Holy Cross for their kind thoughts and the many wonderful messages about Beckie on the Guestbook.

Dermot, Caitlin, Aidan and I are obviously still heartbroken but in time I'm sure we will be able to look back on all the precious moments we spent with Beckie. She gave so much of herself but still found time to be a wonderful wife and mother.

I am keen to document Beckie's time at Holy Cross and would be interested in any photos, videos or other material that any pupils/ parents/ teachers hold, which features her. If you do have any such material, please could you send it to the school and they can then forward to me.

Thank you again for your prayers and kind thoughts.

If you have any memories etc please let us know either take into school or email us hcpcouncil@blueyonder.co.uk

I had the pleasure of teaching Beckie's son, Dermot, for two years and during that time I also had the pleasure of getting to know Beckie. She was a devoted mother to all her children and such a kind and caring person. Her passion for Holy Cross was inspiring. My thoughts are with Joe and her children at this sad time. Miss T xxx

Any death is sad but losing someone who seemed to exude living in such a way that it made me feel as if I was wasting mine.
Your constant smile and laughter will always stay with me and although you may not be here in the physical body your nurturing will always shine through your children.
God bless you and your family. X

Beckie, as we still struggle to understand why God chose now to say 'come take my hand', we will always remember you with so much love and affection. Thank you for being such a great friend and involving us in your family life. To have known you is a privilege that will ever end.
When I think of you, and what now seem to be such brief moments we've shared - the Holy Communion classes, school activities and your family events; such warm memories, and the laughter will always be in my heart. Rest now Beckie, but be assured your one in a million, and an angel in waiting. Joe, Dermot, Caitlin, Aiden and all of your family will remain in our thoughts and prayers in the days and weeks ahead. Rest In Peace.

Beckie was always there for us whether at work, school or church, always happy and ready to help. She helped both our girls through their first holy communion and often watched the boys in childrens liturgy. The children are missing you most of all. Our thoughts and prayers are with Joe, Dermot, Caitlin & Aidan
Goodnight, god bless.

I can't believe such a wonderful person is no longer with us. Beckie touched my life in so many ways, I wouldnt be the person I am today if it wasn't for her. Beckies enthusiasm for life encouraged me to become a school governor and join in with so many activities I wouldn't have done otherwise. Her heart, passion and amazing personality made me feel so comfortable with trying so many new things. She was always there being supportive and caring. She was always there with a hug and a coffee when it was needed. She was the most motivated person I have ever met, many times when I felt too tired to do something I would always think of Beckie, she found the time to do so many things in her life to help others.

Losing Beckie has left a huge hole in our Holy Cross community. At mass last week, Father Frank compared her to a Saint - he is right, she was a saint and angel all in one.

God bless Joe, Dermot, Catlin and Aiden,

My memories of Becky arising from numerous contacts over a number of years via the Governor Development Service are of an individual who through her enthusiasm, sense of humour and sensitivity has brought the joy of life into any gathering, formal or informal in which she has shared. I thank god for every remembrance of her and my prayer at various masses in recent days has been that she may Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory. Obviously my prayers have also been made for Jo, the family and all others like myself have been saddened by Becky's passing.

My initial, lasting memory of Beckie is her huge heart. She was a true christian who lived her life to the full. Her heart was huge - always ready with a laugh, a joke, a hug and an immense amount of support.

Beckie was there for me both personally and professionally from the moment that I met her in 2003. Her lightening blue dreadlocks were initially surprising - but I soon learned that her heart and soul were so dedicated to Holy cross school and all within. I got to know Beckie more as I attended the church - and then I began to see the full extent of her love.

Beckie was a lovely person to be around - a loving wife and mum.
I loved Beckie's laugh, hair, commitment to others before herself, her willingness to help all, her hugs, her character - her all!!!

I will miss you so much Beckie - you've touched so many through your words and actions - thank you. xxxxx

Your memory will live on in the so many happy memories we have of you.

My deepest and huge love to Joe, Dermot, Caitlin and Aidan

To the Fleming Family and Holy Cross School, I am so sorry for your loss.
I met Beckie as a new governor in Headley Park Primary school, I attended a training course for which I was incrediably nervous, Beckie introduced herself and instantly put me at ease.
Every course I attended since, Beckie always greeted me like I was an old friend, and made everything very relaxed. I am eternally grateful for that and and sorry that I not see her again.

I cannot believe the reality of what has happened. Beckie was such an amazing person, passionate colleague, fantastic friend and most important, a wonderful mother. She was truly a remarkable woman. Beckie was ever so supportive during my time as a new teacher, starting my career at Holy Cross, she offered her time generously and lended her hand to nativities, productions, MAD clubs, choir, trip and anything else she could. She loved her school. I will miss Beckie but can say that I feel very privileged to have known and been a friend of such a gifted human being. God bless you Beckie and of course my thoughts and prayers are with Joe, Dermot, Caitlin, Aidan, Beckie's family and all of my dear friends back at Holy Cross. Andy
